Cubs

Cubs are for young people aged 8 to 10½. Cubs take on bigger challenges, learn new skills and enjoy more adventurous activities while building confidence, teamwork and independence.

Our Cub Packs

  • Mowgli Cubs — Mondays, 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
  • Milton Cubs — Wednesdays, 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

What do Cubs do?

Cubs continue their Scouting journey by taking on bigger adventures, learning practical skills and developing confidence through teamwork and new experiences. Activities are designed to be fun, challenging and rewarding in a safe and supportive environment.

Typical Cub activities include:

  • camping and outdoor adventures
  • cooking and creative activities
  • hikes, games and team challenges
  • learning practical life skills and first aid
  • earning badges and awards
  • helping within the local community

Cubs helps young people become more independent, resilient and confident while encouraging teamwork, leadership and responsibility.

Cubs regularly take part in camps, hikes, competitions, community events and adventurous activities that help prepare them for the next stage of Scouting.

Who runs Cubs?

Each Cub Pack is run by trained adult volunteers, supported by assistant leaders and Young Leaders. Our volunteers help young people learn new skills, stay safe and get the most from their Scouting experience.
