Scout Hut

Scout Hut

The Scout Hut was constructed in the 1960s and was last extended in the early 2000s when a small area was added to the left-hand side of the single-storey area of the front elevation.

The building is located on a sloping site and there is an external mezzanine area providing access to the office located on the first floor with an external gas store below. The internal parts of the building comprise an entrance hall, main assembly hall, stores, meeting room (Starkey Room), toilet facilities, kitchen and office (Dodds Room).

Features

Along with the 105m2 main hall, our Scout hut boasts a fully fitted kitchen, activity room, store room as well as indoor toilets.

The whole premises are fully accessible with dedicated car parking.

Outside at the back of the hut, we have a garden with a campfire circle.

Hourly Charges

When the Scout hut is not being used for Scouting meetings or by our regular hall users, it can be hired for personal use at a rate of £10 per hour.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
